Under general supervision, the Traffic Signal Technician skilled Electronic and Electrical work in the construction, installation, maintenance, renovation, and repair of traffic signal control devices, structures, networks for a Traffic Control System.

Licenses, Certifications, and Equipment:
A valid State driver's license is required.
Certification from Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic or ability to obtain within one year of hire date.
Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license within one year of hire date.
Certification from the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) for Traffic Signal Technician Level I or ability to obtain within one year of hire date.
The Traffic Signal Technicians, who obtain and maintain a job-related IMSA Traffic Signal Field Technician Level II Certification shall be eligible for a 5% certification pay differential in addition to the respective incumbent's base rate of pay.
5% Certification Pay to start the pay period following the receipt of the certificate.
This position requires possession and maintenance of Class A or B CDL based on area of assignment.
