Role:

Assembles vacuum pumps and peripherals, tests and calibrates units to meet

tolerances and product specifications. Perform testing following internal instructions. is position will interpret, document and communicate results to the appropriate departments, The will also complete the final assembly of some components onto pump systems. Perform other work related tasks as assigned.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build electro/mechanical assemblies and bend tubing following work instructions and drawings.
  • Install electrical and electronic componets and hardware in housings or assemblies, using hand toolswhile following schematics.
  • Align, fit, and assemble components, using hand tools, power tools and fixtures.
  • Analyse and record test results, and prepare written test documentation.
  • Braze (Silver Solder) copper and stainless steel tubes and fittings to achieve a helium leak tight seal. Perform Helium leak tests on system and components.
  • Repair, rework, rebuild and test mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and refrigerant compressor assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
  • Uphold all safety requirements and policies while identifying any unsafe working conditions or personnel.
  • Other tasks where needed when instructed by your Lead or higher level management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to Braze
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work safe under the guidelines of OSHA
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Capable of making mechanical calculations (add, subtract, divide, multiply, etc)
  • Some computer skills

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years (mechanical) manufacturing experience
  • Associate's Degree (technical school) related to HVAC, general mechanics or engineering, preferred

Wage: $20+ DOE
