BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience for our expanding workforce supporting current and evolving aviation mission planning software, at Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA. - Implement GUIs and business logic in a legacy C# desktop application and the upcoming web-based application
- Develop and maintain code that implements aviation mission-planning software
- Design and implement software for quality and robustness
- Collaborate with external teams for requirements
- Create installations with Installshield
- Perform software security scans and provide security fixes
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design documents
- Participate in a Scrum/Agile/SAFe development process
- Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
- Test and deploy applications and systems
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code
- Improve existing software
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Responsible for the development and implementation of aviation mission planning software
3 to 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description.
- 3 years' experience with C# development/programming skills
- 3 years' experience with Visual Studio
- 3 years' experience with Java, and Javascript
- 3 years' experience with SQL Server
- 3 years' experience with Installshield
- 3 years' experience with Windows
- 3 years' experience with Eclipse
- 3 years' experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- 3 years' experience with Web Development and SPA Single page application
- Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening
Education:
- BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline
- ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant Associate's Degree
Clearance:
- Condition of employment - must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
