SUMMARY:
The Planning Coordinator has a wide accountability for several activities within the Planning Department, including printing labels for in-process use and finished goods, generating log books and inventory orders, receiving and shipping of samples, reporting of raw material inventories, and ordering of raw materials. This role will coordinate with a wide variety of groups at both Plaquemine and Riceboro, including Planning, Powders, Emulsions, Acrylamide, ATBS, Utilities, Customer Service, and Purchasing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and understand production orders and requests to determine the labeling requirements
Generate inventory orders as requested by the plant for various types (inventory, fines, etc.)
Produce all necessary labels via numerous means (including but not limited to in-process labels, equipment labels, and finished product labels)
Produce log books and other operations forms as needed
Receive and ship samples to Riceboro and/or customers as requested
Receive and control the allocation of labels supplied by customers
Maintain adequate inventory of label and shipping stock
Communicate with Customer Service to order labels from customers when needed
Maintain equipment used in the label production
Report raw material inventory to Purchasing
Order raw materials as determined by inventory and min/max levels
Resolve conflicts with internal customers
Assist in other Planning functions as requested
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Computer proficiency in software applications including MS Office, OMNIS, EZ Label
Prefer 1-2 years of labeling/packaging experience
Able to work well under pressure and in a team environment
Detail orientated with solid organizational, communication and follow-up skills
Customer focused, committed to the satisfaction of external and internal customers
Mature, motivated, self-directed, responsible, flexible and a team player
