This opportunity is in the Business Optimization Transformation Department.

Role Description:

In the role of Business Architect, you will be part of a growing and energizing team that lives by Safety National's Core Values: Relationships, Integrity, Teamwork, Balance, and Stability. You will work closely with the Director of Business Architecture, other business architects, business owners, and other strategic stakeholders to develop a holistic, multidimensional business architecture that will be felt throughout the company as a critical mechanism to provide enterprise transparency and reach organizational goals.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a business architect will include:

  • Creating and maintaining core business architecture models, such as value streams, business capability models, information maps, and strategy trees. Includes leading workshops with business owners and other stakeholders to gather intelligence and developing architecture models in an Enterprise Architecture Management tool.
  • Working with business owners, product managers and solution architects to ready initiatives for intake by delivery teams in alignment with SAFe Portfolio Management practices. Includes enabling the evaluation of predicted versus actual business outcomes by mapping company initiatives to business hypothesis, strategic themes, objective key results, and leading indicators, and collaborating with solution architecture to assess technical viability and with business owners to define MVP (Minimum Viable Product).

The ideal candidate is someone with experience defining core business architecture models and then leveraging them in workshops with key strategic stakeholders to drive business value and measure business outcomes, including portfolio level analysis in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment. Prior experience with an EAM (Enterprise Architecture Management) tool such as LeanIX is a plus.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, management, information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years' experience in Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Enterprise Architecture or a related, transferable skillset.

  • Knowledge of the BIZBOK (Business Architecture Body of Knowledge).
  • Ability to create Business Architecture artifacts.
  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Ability to facilitate business architecture mapping workshops.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency with architecture applications, such as LeanIX.
  • Certification in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or SAFe Architecture disciplines
  • P & C Insurance experience.

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target salary range for this position is $84,000 to $135,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
