The Opportunity:

The University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to serve as the Assistant Director, Direct Marketing - Colleges & Units. This position will play a crucial role in the annual giving efforts, focusing on retention, reactivation, and acquisition of donors for colleges and units within the university. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing direct marketing campaigns at the unit level, supporting segmented messages of central campaigns, and spearheading unit-specific initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and execute college and unit-based solicitation campaigns, including crowdfunding initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the annual giving team to contribute to strategy and implement mass donor solicitation campaigns in partnership with units for major events such as Giving Tuesday and UCF Day of Giving.

  • Track goals, objectives, schedules, communications, and performance metrics; analyze the results of initiatives and prepare reports of key performance indicators, making recommendations for strategy enhancements.

  • Coordinate appeal production with internal partners including writers, graphic designers, and data managers to ensure the timely delivery of appeals.

  • Assist with drafting and editing of annual giving communications as needed.

  • Work with external vendors as needed to execute projects effectively.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Click here for more information

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong expertise in direct marketing, annual giving, or related fields.

    • Experience in developing and implementing solicitation campaigns, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.

    • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience using CRM tools such as Blackbaud CRM, RE NXT, or Tableau.

    • Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices.

    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to achieving organizational goals.

    Special Instructions to the Applicants:

    The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $58,000 - $68,000.

The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
