What Makes this Job Awesome?

The Distribution Sales Support Specialist is responsible to support our existing network of

distributors, as well as, create and cultivate a new network, based on the relationships you will make in the indirect route to market. You will provide in house support to all department activity, by being the go-to person for the Distribution Sales Manager. Working side by side with the Distribution Sales Manager, utilizing existing sales experience to reach required targets, you will be able to grow our reach throughout North America.


Key Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for all order and quote inquiries for the Distribution Department.
  • Provide direct support to the Distribution Sales Manager and customers to meet sales targets for the indirect route to market
  • Enhance personal relationships with existing customers and develop quality relationships with new contacts
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations for existing and potential customers
  • Utilize product-specific knowledge to support sales through distributor network
  • Provide face to face support to customers, as required; prepare presentations as needed
  • Develop distribution networks within targeted geographies
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor distributor activity using in-house systems
  • Provide a meaningful, helpful, and enjoyable experience for our customers.
  • Provide order entry support during and after the sale; including the communication of Order Confirmations, shipment tracking information; any other status updates as needed.
  • Execute new vendor on-boarding: Once a new distributor has been confirmed by managers, the Distribution Support Specialist will be responsible to gather all necessary information to create account in ERP system and submit credit applications to accounting for review and approval; communicate successful account approval to customer.
  • Utilize CRM to record quotes, tasks, calls, meetings, reminders, etc. to enhance interdepartmental communication.
  • General support for National Distribution Sales Manager and Account Manager, including but not limited to serving as alternate point of contact when out of office, Run distribution department reports as needed and provide results to Managers.
Requirements

  • Previous work experience in a mechanical/commercial/industrial environment
  • Previous sales experience, preferred
  • Mechanical, mathematical aptitude
  • Degree in related field preferred,
  • Ability to plan and direct initiatives for growth
  • Excellent follow-through and task completion
  • Ability to maintain positive approach regardless of obstacles and objections
  • Willingness to pursue new or unproven ideas; ability to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer skills - Microsoft office, willing to learn to new programs
