Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC), has an immediate need for a Computer Technician to support Mobile Expeditionary Communications Kits (MECKs), which provide network services to deployed communication kits using a variety of network connectivity methods. This position will be located onsite at Naval Station Norfolk. Primary responsibilities include:
* Perform day to day monitoring, testing, and Tier 1-2 maintenance actions for Windows 10 systems and associated printers by installing updates, conducting routine health checks, and troubleshooting/resolving technical issues
* Ensure IA compliance by patching, scanning, and providing scans regularly
* Work with a dedicated MECK support team to ensure operability and compliance/accreditation for all associated equipment
* Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), drawings, and system documentation
* Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
* Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
* Must have at least 1 year of experience supporting the following: Windows 10, ACAS/Nessus scans, STIG checklists, SCAP scans
* Must have experience conducting STIG/SCAP remediation and applying system patches and upgrades
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs
* Must be able to travel as needed to support mission requirements
