Job Overview

The Equipment Finance (EF) Division is responsible for providing creative capital solutions for equipment acquisitions and leases to small and medium sized businesses through various referral channels to include OEM, dealers, vendors, distributors, brokers, and captives. The Equipment Finance Division also works closely with other bank divisions, in a team/cross selling capacity to deliver first in class solutions to the banks clients while enhancing the banks brand and providing shareholder value.

As the Funding Specialist within our Equipment Finance Division, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the funding process for equipment financing transactions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients to ensure seamless execution of funding activities while adhering to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

Principal Accountabilities

Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of equipment financing transaction, from initial booking and funding disbursement to ensuring accurate booking on the third-party system, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirement and internal policies. This includes management communication with clients and internal stakeholders, identifying and addressing potential risks, and contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in funding operations.

Duties

  • Manage the end-to-end funding for equipment finance transactions, including reviewing documentation, verifying information, and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, and other department to gather necessary information and resolve any funding related issues. Assist with other departments as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the funding process, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with funding transaction, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Conduct thorough review of funding documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline funding processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the overall client experience.
  • Maintain organized records of funding documentation and ensure proper storage and confidentiality in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct due diligence on equipment and collateral to ensure accuracy and compliance with Equipment Finance Guidelines, including verifying ownership, valuation and condition assessment.
  • Stay informed about regulatory change and industry trends related to equipment finance funding activities, ensuring adherence to all appliable law, regulation, and best practice.
  • Proactively identify and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the funding process, working collaboratively to find timely and effective solutions.
  • Stay current on industry developments, best practice and internal procedures through ongoing training and professional development opportunities, sharing knowledge and insights with team members as appropriate.
  • Provide support to other departments within the Equipment Finance Division as needed, contributing to team goals and initiative to drive overall department success.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment finance leasing or commercial lending preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, credit analysis, and documentation requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy and ability to prioritize task in a fast pace environment.
  • Experience with Pricing Software solutions, Tvalue, Supertrump, Infoanalysis or similar systems preferred.
  • Excellent with computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF, and familiarity with CRM platforms.
  • Exceptional organization, time management and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
