Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Accountant to join our Firecom business unit.

This role is located at the 7 subway station and the LIRR

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Assist in financial statement preparation
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation of annual audit schedules
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for Management
  • Prepare the monthly intercompany reconciliations
  • Backup to Accounting department as needed
Basic Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in advanced Excel is an absolute must
  • Experience as an Accountant or similar position
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Experience with financial closings
  • Understanding of data analysis
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
  • CPA or CMA is a plus
  • Construction or manufacturing experience is helpful
  • Percentage of Completion experience is helpful
  • ERP experience is helpful
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting is helpful

SALARY: $80-100K
