Job Description

Summary

  • Position Summary
    • The Rehabilitation Aide/CNA performs designated routine tasks related to the operation of physical rehabilitation services on the Acute Care/Swing Bed service. Performs clerical tasks and will assist with patient-related activities under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist and speech therapist.

      The Physical Therapy Aide is also responsible for completing daily and monthly stats, processing Medicare forms, obtaining insurance referrals and physician orders, maintaining inventory, typing various reports, letters, forms and instruction sheets as needed, processing discharged charts, and photocopying of medical records as requested including monthly Claims Assist requests.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant needed. Education and experience in the health field preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant
    • Experience: See "Education." CNA experience on Acute Care preferred.
    • Proficient computer skills
