Behavioral Technician

With capacity for 12 children, this program produces the highest quality treatment outcomes through a combination of expert programming, specially trained caregivers and the individual potential of each patient. It is a cutting edge research center for autism and also houses the first playground in Maine created specifically for children with developmental disorders.
Position Highlights:
Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000, amount prorated for part-time

What you will do:
Develop a working knowing of therapeutic interventions and interactions for common diagnosis of population served.
Implement the behavioral plan developed specifically for the developmentally challenged patient in accordance with Doctor's orders
Assist patients with Daily Living Skills (ADLs) as directed by an RN
Responsibilities
Perform checks and document on patient's record in accordance with hospital policies
Work with the treatment team in the collection of pertinent data to assist in the development of individualized behavioral plans
Implement sensory schedules as indicated by behavioral plan
Observe and respond to codes and follow code leader's direction
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":
Education: High School diploma preferred. Bachelor's degree in Psychology preferred.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience: 1+ years of experience and/or coursework in a social services related field required.
