Responsibilities

Join our expanding team as a Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter in our new state of the art 132-bed behavioral health facility!

Prairie St. John's has been providing services for children, adolescents, and adults to address behavioral health and substance use challenges since 1997. Prairie offers inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, and intensive outpatient services. Accredited by The Joint Commission, we are the largest, freestanding behavioral health facility in the region. More than 5,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Prairie St. John's.

Scope of Position

In this role, you'll provide support to the Human Resource Director and leadership, primarily in the areas of recruiting, the new hire experience, employee engagement and recognition, federal and state compliance. This person will also serve as a role model for staff, management across the hospital, consistently representing the standards of service excellence. The HR Generalist is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of HR services to designated leaders and faculty, for providing guidance on HR policies and processes, and monitoring, evaluating, and reporting progress on key metrics. Supports the HR Director by providing human resources analysis and support services to maximize the effectiveness of HR processes that promote the organization's strategic objectives.

Position Summary

This position will support programs that identify and fulfill talent needs, talent integration and employee development to meet the overall HR strategy for the organization. Through partnerships, this position will help educate, advise, and support management on issues involving but not limited to employee retention, performance management, coaching, on-boarding, new hire orientation, organizational development and change management. Serves as an employee champion and communicates needs proactively with the HR Director and Leadership, while having the ability to translate mid-range plans into operating results.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/human resources or related field preferred.

  • Recruiting in a healthcare or behavioral health preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR or other professional certification preferred, but not required.

  • Minimum of 4+ years' experience in Human Resources or Recruiting.

  • Understanding of North Dakota and Federal employments laws, reducing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish rapport with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong recruiting and retention sentiment.

  • Strong mind-set for continuous improvement.
