Job Description

Summary

  • Position Summary
    • The advanced Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, professional and federal regulations and guidelines. In addition, the advanced clinician demonstrates an extensive knowledge base for patient care across a range of complexity and routinely serves as a clinical resource to staff and demonstrates leadership skills within the department. The advanced Occupational Therapist creates an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by providing patient safety and patient-centered treatment. This is an outpatient role.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Successfully completed Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited therapy program is preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Current state license in Occupational Therapy required. CPR certification required.
    • Experience: Experience in outpatient and/or acute care setting working with patients with orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurological or integumentary conditions preferred. Minimum of 18 months of full-time equivalent clinical experience with at least one year at Southern MaineHeath Care.
