Krispy Kreme's Sanitation Manager, Global Food Safety & Quality will partner closely with our Shops, Doughnut factories, and Mix plants to lead key sanitation programs. The individual will drive Sanitation Standards and program management on a global basis. The individual will have a deep understanding of Sanitation Principles and applied experienced in the domain. We are looking for a Sanitation Manager, Global Food Safety & Quality that is excited to join our team and motivated by enhancing food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.


A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Ensure compliance to Krispy Kreme Sanitation Standards and program requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Sanitation methods, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Ensure high level of employee safety, food safety, production run times, and product change overs.
  • Ensure personal safety, food safety, and protocols are followed.
  • Ensure operators and staff are properly trained in chemical safety, use of sanitation equipment, and sanitation procedures.
  • Create and update Krispy Kreme Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's)
  • Develop training and provide assessments for performing SSOP's.
  • Lead and coordinate sanitation staff activities and goals.
  • Use continuous improvement tools and improve changeover efficiencies.
  • Provide input and leadership on the sanitary design of equipment building changes or capital projects.
  • Manage chemical and cleaning supply companies.
  • Manage the integrated pest management program.
  • Manage the food defense program.
  • Support internal and external auditing programs.
  • Identify areas for process improvement changes through analysis of changeover data and process review.
  • Includes identify standard work processes practices where applicable.
  • Provides night and weekend coverage as needed, with on-call status with expectations of immediate response.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Strong knowledge of acid, alkali, and sanitizing chemicals
  • The primary function of the Sanitation Manager is to implement and maintain programs related to Sanitation, Hygienic Design, Pest Control, and Preventive Controls
  • Observe and enforce safety rules and practices, encourage safe work behaviors, and promptly correcting and safe behaviors that may lead to accidents.
  • Collaborate with Safety team on SDS documentation and PPE.
  • Continually endorse the Krispy Kreme Quality and Food Safety policies
  • Ad-Hoc projects that may lead to continue growth opportunities within Krispy Kreme


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in a production facility, preferably in a food processing plant
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience at training sanitation and production personnel
  • Experience with previous manufacturing plant or line startups a strong plus
  • Experience performing sanitation activities in food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • PCQI trained and knowledgeable in FSMA regulations
  • Integrated Pest Management Certification Food Manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of GFSI Certification programs and implementation (SQF, FSSC22000, BRC, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on certain projects.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid (remote and in-office) environment.
  • Travel 50% to shops and doughnut manufacturing factories
