Location: NJ, 111 Town Square Pl Jersey City. This position will initially be based in the ITC - Jersey City, NJ office, located at 111 Town Square Place, with the understanding that this office and your position will be relocating to our Hudson Yards - New York office in the future, timing to be confirmed.

Reports To: Deputy GM, Go-To-Market, IT Cosmetics

What You Will Do:


The Assistant Vice President, Global Visual Merchandising is responsible for leading the brands Global Visual Merchandising team to design compelling in-store consumer experiences within all retailers in Europe, APAC, Americas and TR markets in order to drive the brand to outperform the market and strengthen the brand equity.

The incumbent will continue to be the industry leader creating exceptional shopping experiences, while staying on time and budget. The individual will strategize and deliver consumer and market insights by partnering with the DMI marketing, GBD and creative teams to help drive new product launches visually via 360 concepts. The individual will strive to strengthen and protect the brand DNA and ensure its consistency in all consumer touchpoints.

  • Be the leader of the Global Visual Merchandising team to deliver a winning plan for growth
  • Build & implement the brands in-store communication & retail strategies to maximize & build equity
  • Oversee the design, execution, and production of: Drawer System, promotional units, events and Permanent fixtures (gondolas, Back walls, corners etc...) in all retailers within all markets.
  • Set and follow the annual brand budget with inputs from finance, marketing, sales & creative
  • Communicate strategy to the team to ensure clarity and alignment
  • Adapt and communicate visual merchandising strategy to internal teams & zones
  • Communicate strategy & vision to local productions and help oversee execution
  • Ensure consistent 360 approach of the brand expression and execution across retail channels
  • Drive core pillar growth and identify further opportunities of growth
  • Oversee launch executions, design and production
  • Be the voice for the team and represent the brand in internal & external meetings
  • Foster collaboration between internal teams to ensure alignment and sharing & leveraging of best practices
  • Prioritize team development and create positive team dynamic to maximize engagement and productivity
  • Be a coach to my team and foster culture of feedback (both direct and indirect reports) for better ways of working

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years visual merchandising and/or digital marketing experience
  • Strong people management/leadership skills
  • College Degree strongly preferred
  • Ability to be agile in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Proven record of partnering cross functionally to create personalized customer experiences
  • Expert knowledge and skill in executing all VM across various zone retailers
  • Must be analytical but also creative
  • Demonstrated strength in communication and influencing skills; not only written and verbal, but also in the engagement of internal and external business partners
  • Open to new ideas and actively builds networks to achieve goals
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, strategic thinker. Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Retail experience strongly preferred but not necessary; beauty experience not mandatory
  • Proven track record as a change agent in a matrixed organization
