Merchandise Coordinator - Part Time - Port St. Lucie, FL

We are currently hiring for a part time Merchandise Coordinator who will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming merchandise is properly received, tagged, and stored and all outgoing merchandise is properly tagged, recorded, and shipped.

Represents the PGA of America in the utmost professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Retrieve all incoming merchandise from the shipping drop-off area.

Receive, tag, then store or stock all incoming merchandise following Merchandise Department procedures.

Properly tag, record, and ship all outgoing merchandise.

Assist staff in merchandising the Golf Shop.

Ensure the daily Golf Shop fill ins are processed and merchandised according to established areas.

Ensure the Golf Shop is routinely cleaned and organized to ensure a neat appearance and to ensure PGA of America standards are maintained. Areas include the Golf Shop storage areas, and merchandise displays.

Change, rotate, and dress mannequins with the latest apparel to maintain a fresh look weekly.

Provide exceptional service for PGA Golf Club members and guests as related to their retail golfing
needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Thorough knowledge of general retail merchandise practices and philosophies as would be acquired through two years of similar professional retail experience in progressively responsible positions.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proven proficiency in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COLLABORATION AND TEAMWORK

Works harmoniously with others to get a job done, responds positively to instructions and procedures and is able to work well with staff while maintaining relationships, which breed productive disagreement and debate.

CUSTOMER FOCUS
