Job Description
Job Objective:
Operate, maintain, and control Harvest's North Slope LNG facility. Support the Team in a collaborative manner to ensure the safe operation of the LNG facility.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Operator must be proficient at interpreting PFDs, P&IDs, and associated drawings.
  • Must obtain control room/board operator qualifications for day one start-up. Must work toward being lead operator qualified to assist with coverage as needed.
  • Responsible for daily plant operation, reliability and efficiency.
  • Aids with plant operational troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the Team to improve plant performance and efficiencies.
  • Perform nightly water labs and amine sampling and ensures the appropriate actions are taken.
  • Operation of the reverse osmosis (RO) system and its upkeep. Filter changes, Clean in Place, Mixed Media bed exchanges, inventory, etc. This includes meeting all training requirements and obtaining a thorough understanding of how this system works and what needs to be done to maintain it.
  • Ensure that the facility maintains proper chemical inventories including lab supplies, RO and steam system chemicals, amine, glycol, etc.
  • Assist in the coordinate of annual Facility shutdowns and provide Operations support.
  • Implement work plans for equipment start-up and shutdowns (LOTO and Isolation).
  • Must obtain and maintain all the qualified OQ (Operator Qualifications) per DOT requirements.
  • Maintain CTM tasks and downtime tracker for compliance with environmental air permit requirements, stormwater & snow removal management, and SAA/hazardous waste standards.
  • Maintain SOP's and participate in the annual review. Meet all requirements of the MOC process.
  • Complete all EAM work orders in a timely manner.
  • On predetermined days of the month, fill in for the Outside Operator role, allowing the Outside Operator to train on the board.
  • Assist Maintenance personnel with EAM PM activities as well as maintaining critical spares.
  • Assist with truck loading and yard maintenance as needed and help oversee Contractor activities.
  • Familiarize yourself with additional Harvest North Slope Assets. Be willing to Cross train as needed.
  • Be willing to help cover shifts for emergency/unexpected Operator PTO.
  • Be willing to work in a remote arctic location on a 14days-on/14days-off rotation and on nightshift when needed. Shift will consist of 12-hour days or nights.
  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years minimum experience in the oil & gas industry. Specific experience in gas treating facilities preferred.
  • Previous board operator experience is preferred.
  • Self-starter with proven skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure.
  • Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Ability to work long hours to cover/monitor assigned field territory.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to prioritize when assigned multiple tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), EAM database, MOC Frontline

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
