Mission

You are the focal point for EEE , M&P (Materials & Processes) support to the engineering team.


Including your own field of expertise, and with experts support, you will cover :

  • EEE parts quality and testing,
  • M&P topics through DML (Declared Materials List) and DPL (Declared Process List) reviews
  • RAD (Radiation) topics (focused on Electronics .... but also includes materials)
  • Assembly processes for PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies)

You will ensure that designs proposed by suppliers are compliant with our specifications.

Working with the TM (Technical Manager), SDM (Supplier Development manager), and SCPM (Supply Chain Program Manager) you will support the team and be involved in the design definition of the units, but also in the control of the satellites internal manufacturing processes.


Your Day-to-Day

  • Organize the reviews:
    • Design phase
  • You will organize the review of SOCs from the suppliers.
  • You will support the supplier to optimize the industrial approach during the design phase.
  • You will ensure that at CDR, all design aspects related to EEE, M&P have been validated by the relevant expert.
  • You will oversee the consolidation and the reporting of the different technological fields by interfacing with EEE/RAD/M&P experts.
    • Production
  • You will ensure that EEE procurement and testing are done in accordance with the agreed justification documents.
  • You will support SCM and SDM to assess change proposals from the suppliers
  • You will support the TM and the SDM during anomalies reviews and ensure expertise support.
  • You will be in charge of updating the EEE / RAD / M&P specifications when needed.
  • You will support the program team during proposal phases to assess the mission compatibility with our products and the special needs (ATOX, ...)
  • During program gate reviews you will support the PA for technology-related synthesis.

The position will be located in Merritt Island, FL, and may require 25-50% travel (domestic and/or international). The position will report to the Head of Supplier Development


Your Profile

  • Curious, proactive, and autonomous, decision maker
  • Interpersonal skills to drive projects within an international environment
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Strong expertise in one technological field (EEE / M&P / Rad ) and a good understanding in others.
  • Engineering degree or PhD in either Electronics, Microelectronics, Materials, Radiation, Mechanical, or Thermal
  • Knowledge of space quality standards would be a plus
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (RCCA, 8D, PDCA, etc... )

Physical Demand

Based on the position an employee is occasionally required to stand for an extended period of time; walk; reach above shoulders; and stoop, kneel, bend, twist or crouch.
