Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will....

  • Help design, build, test, and evaluate scientific instrumentation to address concerns related to carbon capture from air, and carbon dioxide conversion and utilization.
  • Synthesize and evaluate new molecules, sorbents, porous materials, and polymers in support of new and ongoing chemistry research projects related to energy and environmental science.
  • Perform hands-on laboratory work as part of a team to develop solutions to applied chemistry and environmental problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret and analyze experimental results.
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams that involve experimentalists and modelers.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related technical field, with a strong academic record.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and have worked successfully in a team environment.
  • Have a strong motivation and passion for research in the field of Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR)/CCUS/decarbonization/Carbon management.
  • Proven ability to perform multidisciplinary research and contribute to funded research programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of operational requirements for a successful research project and managing time and resources.
  • Have quality English communication skills, both verbal and written.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
