Job Specifications

The Transformation Center of Excellence Program Manager plays an important role in the transformation acceleration of our business through standing up and managing a center of excellence (COE) for automation/artificial intelligence (AI)/best practices capability in the transformation management office and executing on strategic initiatives based on the outcome of our enterprise-wide capability map health assessments. Included, but not limited to, this role will lead and participate in the identification of and partnering on the appropriate solution for, key and critical business process improvements through automation, AI and re-engineering using strong problem-solving skills and design thinking.

Pay Range: Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.

* Program Manager: $92,500 - $152,450
* Senior Program Manager: $100,650 - $166,050

This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

Reporting Relationship: Director of TMO

Location: This position may be located in Fayetteville, Arkansas; Council Bluffs, Iowa; Pueblo, Colorado; or our corporate headquarters located in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Essential Functions:
* Partner with IT Service Delivery Teams to stand up and manage the transformation center of excellence (COE) for automation/AI/best practices as a critical capability in the Transformation Management Office (TMO).
* Manage the transformation program priorities as included in the transformation roadmap, and as aligned with the transformation journey aligned to our Black Hills Energy strategy.
* Participate in transformation program work related to enterprise capability map health assessments, identifying key and critical business processes for automation, re-engineering and mapping, using design thinking to partner on the best solution driven by the respective business segment.
* Responsible for proactive generation of ideas from within the organization for demonstrating and realizing operational efficiencies and overall tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) and benefits.
* Manage the Quick Wins Program for the transformation center of excellence work related to automation, AI, and best practices.
* Partner with the TMO and Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) for project change management support.
* Identify and leverage enterprise data and analytics capabilities. Assist in preparing the monthly updates for executive sponsor meetings and SLT meetings.
* Participate in developing the structure for successful transformation program management to include business process improvement execution using new and innovative continuous improvement tools.
* Influence the organization by promoting continuous improvement strategies and tools with employees and leaders across the organization.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Continuously develop knowledge, skills, and abilities relating to process improvement methodologies, design thinking, business activities and operations, and critical thinking required for identifying viable solutions for improving our organizations' efficiencies.
* Analyze data required to assess project potential, make decisions, and report results.
* Responsible for partnering with stakeholders, program staff, steering committees, and sponsors.

What You'll Need:

Program Manager:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
* Minimum of (5) years in transformation program/project management, centers of excellence design and implementation, automation, artificial intelligence, business process improvement, data analytics, or related experience is required.

Senior Program Manager:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
* Minimum of (7) years in transformation program/project management, centers of excellence design and implementation, automation, artificial intelligence, business process improvement, data analytics, or related experience is required.

What Is Desired Or Can Be Taught:
* Strong critical thinker.
* General understanding of data and statistical analysis to make educated business decisions.
* Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with the team, other business segments, and all levels of leadership.
* Experienced with lean practices and/or Six Sigma techniques.
* General understanding of the utility industry.
* Demonstrated ability to develop process-based metrics.
* Ability to make well informed decisions with little or no guidance.
* General understanding of financials (O&M v. Capital) and how they impact the business.
* Ability to effectively map complex processes across all functions of the organization.
* Proven ability to effectively use design thinking capability.
