Join our dynamic team in Pathology & Laboratory Medicine! As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our genetics research and diagnostic activities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
*Collaborate with laboratory staff in performing standard immunohistochemistry procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in sample processing.
*Prepare and aliquot reagents for experiments, maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and ensuring proper storage conditions for future studies.
*Perform safe disposal of biohazardous waste, contributing to a clean and hazard-free laboratory environment.
*Clean, sterilize, and assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality and reliability for experimental procedures.
*Support ongoing projects within the Reference group as required, which may include basic animal husbandry tasks and DNA extraction procedures.

Salary Range: $19.32/hour - $22.37/hour
*Preferred minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience, with a demonstrated understanding of laboratory protocols, techniques, and safety procedures. Undergraduate laboratory experience will be considered.
*A Bachelor's degree in a Life Science field is a plus.
*Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
*Strong communication skills to convey detailed medical information.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
*Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
