Construction Materials Mid-Senior Project Manager

S&ME is in search of an experienced Construction Materials Project Manager who can leverage their project management skills and construction materials expertise to spearhead influential aviation projects across the Southeast. Depending on your level of expertise and years of experience, our Charlotte team is adaptable and open to considering candidates ranging from mid to senior-level management, offering ample room for professional growth.


Our aviation team provides full-service Design, Construction Materials Testing, Geotechnical, and Environmental services to small and large airports across the southeast. Our team is focused on growth within the aviation marketplace, and the successful candidate will have a passion for aviation and share in this entrepreneurial spirit. You will be a key player in decision-making processes and project execution, making a lasting impact on our firm's success within the aviation sector.


Your Day-to-Day:

  • Construction Materials Oversight: Utilize your experience to provide expert oversight in construction materials testing and management. Ensure the highest standards of quality and integrity are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of construction materials aspects within aviation projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, demonstrating your strategic project management skills.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Take charge of project budgets and resources, optimizing efficiency while maintaining quality standards. Your financial acumen will be crucial in ensuring project success.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, serving as a point of contact for construction materials-related aspects. Your communication skills will be instrumental in fostering positive collaborations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

What You Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering, construction management, or a closely related field of study
  • 4+ years' experience in construction materials testing and 1 year of proven work experience as a project manager, supervisor or team leader
  • You are willing to travel occasionally for project-related activities

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. The successful candidate must meet the requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy, and Reference Check Program.
