GP PRO (Georgia-Pacific Professional) is looking for a Customer Development Leader (CDL) to drive distributor growth within our local and regional GP Distributors. The CDL role will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of local distribution facilities in the North Market. This position is home-based/remote in the North Market. Ideal candidate would reside in the Washington, D.C., Columbia, MD, Philadelphia, PA, or Richmond, VA, metro area.


What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage relationships with assigned direct distributor partners.
  • Create, implement, and manage strategic programs and plans to deliver volume and margin objectives.
  • Plan and facilitate distributor sales meetings, training new Distributor Sales Representatives (DSRs) on GP PRO solutions.
  • Develop Power DSRs within the assigned distributor base, identifying opportunities and generating leads for National Account Managers and/or Field Sales Consultants.
  • Understand GP PRO capabilities, such as Supply Chain, GPXpress, Customer Service / Order & Logistics, and Marketing, and use this knowledge to create Joint Business Plans to drive mutual value areas for GP and its customers.
  • Address logistics / shipping issues by working with Customer Service Reps to effectively communicate to accounts and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Market Sales Directors (MSDs) on customer plans and business initiatives to drive growth with National Distributors.
  • Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development role in the janitorial/sanitation industry
  • Valid U.S. driver license
  • Willing to travel 50%

  • Proven success of creative and strategic thinking
  • Financial acumen utilized to develop sales plans
