Summer Employment Opportunities with Dining & Nutrition Services

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Shift: Variable
Department: Patient Kitchen or Essentials Restaurant
Salary Range: $16.34 PRN, shift differentials for evenings/weekends. This position is eligible for an extra $2.50/hour through 6/22/24!

ABOUT THE JOB

As a member of our team, you'll perform a variety of food service duties, including food preparation, barista, server, catering, and cashier. You'll work in a variety of food production areas, including dining rooms, public areas, and other nourishment areas while following food safety standards, infection control, and PPE procedures and guidelines. You'll also handle food products and food waste in both patient and retail environments.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Degree or equivalent is preferred (currently enrolled students are encouraged to apply.

* Obtaining a Missouri Food Handler's Certificate within one month of hire is strongly encouraged.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs. and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs.
