Schedule: 1st shift, part-time - an employee can choose schedule | $20/hr. (Based on experience)

Industrial Sewer essential tasks:
  • Construct tent and tent cover working from paper patterns and fabric rolls.
  • Construct cushion covers working from specified cushion dimensions.
  • Construct a trailer cover using an existing trailer as a mannequin.
  • Construct miscellaneous items such as fabric bags for packaging the tent, cover, and tent poles.
  • Mark and cut from patterns, and large fabric pieces before sewing into the major panels for the tent dome, the window and door canopies, and the tent skirt.
  • Sew panels together according to drawings, pictures, reference to existing sewn items, and verbal and written directions.
  • Seal the tent seams against water penetration.
  • Seam sealing tape is ironed to some of the seams.
  • A seam sealing solution (paint thinner and silicone caulk) is applied to some seams.
  • Equipment used: both single and double needle sewing machines, hand tools such as fabric shears (scissors) and hole punches commonly used in sewing, and manual grommet press for setting grommets.
Qualified candidates will have three years of related experience.
