PAY RANGE:
Engineer I: $64,100 - $80,100 - $96,100
Engineer II: $78,200 - $97,800 - $117,400
Staff Engineer: $87,400 - $109,300 - $131,200
Sr Engineer: $88,500 - $118,000 - $147,500
Lead Engineer: $93,100 - $124,100 - $155,100

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Other hours as required)

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of Director of Substation and Relay Construction & Maintenance, the successful candidate will assist substation maintenance staff in identifying operational or maintenance improvement opportunities/modifications for improving substation reliability, efficiency, and safety. Primary responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain project prioritization and ranking plan for planned work in assigned area, utilize SIMP for project lists
Work closely with Asset Management and field personnel to identify and justify highest value projects
Perform field evaluations of project scopes and recommend final project scopes with justification
Tracking and forecasting for current year budget
Development of future year budgets
Serve as Project Manager on larger Capital Maintenance Projects including Contractor coordination and supervision
Work with Supply Chain on long lead time material needs and procurement plans
Provide support as needed to field personnel
Fill-in coverage for front-line Maintenance Supervisors
On-call coverage rotation for Substation Construction & Maintenance
Support significant storm events and outages
Employ effective time and priority management skills to assure accurate and timely results.
Support department regulatory compliance including NERC CIP and PRC requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Preferred degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Must have satisfactory work record including good attendance. Substation or electrical maintenance experience and proven leadership abilities preferred. Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and design theory required. Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required: Requires knowledge of basic substation design principles and advanced mathematics. Requires proficient knowledge of systems in area of responsibility. Must be proficient in the ability to use database, spreadsheet, word processing, and applicable software applications. Must be able to utilize PI and other appropriate software products to monitor transmission and distribution system conditions.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Driver's License

Working Conditions: Must be able to travel. Must be able to change priorities as needed by system operational requirements and respond if emergencies arise. Much of the time will be spent in the substation and office environment with some hands-on work. This work may include climbing, crawling, heights and confined spaces
