JOB SUMMARY

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations and in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley standards.

Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes, at a level normally acquired through an associate degree in business administration or accounting; and
  • 2 years' experience in payroll.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with certified payroll.
  • Certified Payroll Professional certificate.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge in the use of Adobe PDF and advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
  • Accurate punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills are essential.
  • Must maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $28 to $30 per hour DOE
  • Bonus eligible
