HR COMPLIANCE MANAGER
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN -WORLD HEADQUARTERS - HYBRID

As a member of the HR Global Business Services (GBS) team, the HR Compliance Managerwill be responsible to ensure Lear adheres to legal standards and in-house policies within Human Resources. As a HR Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for communicating HR policies and guidelines to the global corporate and plant HR teams and creating processes to support their compliance. Your understanding of Lear HR policies will also be leveraged to drive process alignment and improvements in standard HR workflows within our human capital management system, SuccessFactors. We're looking for someone well-versed in corporate governance best practices, standard HR services and policies with strong problem solving and global collaboration experience. High ethical standards and a diligent approach are essential. You should be result-oriented and able to help develop strategic improvements for how global HR adheres to company and governmental HR policies. The main objective of this role is to support the organization in maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop and oversee control systems to increase adherence and standardization of HR guidelines and internal policies.
  • Partner with HRIS organization to collect and analyze data to ensure employee data and records utilized in SuccessFactors and other systems is accurate and meets business requirements.
  • Manages processes to ensure data integrity, compliance with relevant local and national regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them.
  • Periodically revise procedures, reports, and other documentation to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
  • Draft, modify, and implement HR company policies.
  • Collaborate with corporate counsels and global HR departments to enforce standards and regulations.
  • Review colleagues' work when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
  • Stay informed about regulatory developments both within and outside the company, as well as evolving best practices in HR policies and compliance control.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in business administration, law, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Human Resource generalist or HR Manager
  • Experience as a HR Compliance Manager preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with managing human resources policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of HR industry standards and regulations.
  • Foundational knowledge of HRIS systems required and previous experience using SAP SuccessFactors preferred.
  • Business acumen combined with a dedication to legality and holding parties accountable.
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning and problem resolution skills.
  • Analytical mindset capable of navigating complex procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent understanding of reporting procedures and record-keeping.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills on local and global scale.
  • Certification as a compliance professional is a plus.
