Job Description
As a DevOps / Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize deployment pipelines, automate processes, and enhance system reliability. We offer high compensation to experienced engineers who like working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. Work is primarily remote at present. Relocation to Chicago not required. US Citizen or Permanent Work Authorization (Green Card) required.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Establish and manage monitoring solutions using tools such as Datadog, or custom scripts.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline application deployment.
  • Optimize resource utilization, cost, and security across cloud environments.
  • Participate in risk analysis, vulnerability scanning, certificate management, password policy, security monitoring, coordination of remediations, and other daily security and compliance efforts.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least three (3) years of U.S. based experience with network and cloud engineering and performing DevOps activities in a professional capacity.
  • Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • AWS Certifications:
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
    • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate
