Position Summary
CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. This position is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and inspection of all pools and equipment for the assigned facility.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains repairs, inspects, and troubleshoots pools and related equipment (i.e. salt system devices, valves, chemical feeders, filters, ultraviolet sanitizers, salt and chlorine systems, pumps, motors, etc.) to ensure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision.
  • Ensures that all pools are chemically balanced for operations according to codes and standards set by the County Health Department and the State of Georgia.
  • Ensures that the specifications set by manufacturers and the State of Georgia are complied with and documented accurately and thoroughly.
  • Conducts thorough pre-opening inspections of all pools, diving structures, and equipment in the facilities, informing appropriate management of all hazards that may endanger guests or employees.
  • Maintains accurate inspection records, and keep all daily repair logs and journals current and accurate of maintenance performed.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and wears personal protective equipment when/ if working with chemicals.
  • Ensures that all equipment is clean and visually in compliance with manufacturer's specifications, and the expectations of the guests and management team.
  • May escort subcontractors during completion of their work at the site.
  • May perform other preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as directed by CGL Facility Maintenance Management.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of CGL Facility Management OSHA, and our clients.
  • Must maintain a clean and safe workplace while and after performing maintenance tasks.
  • Complete all required compliance, safety and developmental training as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma (or equivalent) required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Must understand water chemistry and able to adjust and balance pool water.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of pool chemistry and how to apply these chemicals.
  • Must be knowledgeable of pool piping and associated plumbing and ability to repair pool equipment such as diving boards and base, ladders, handrails, returns.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly, and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers, and management.
  • Must be Commercial Pool Operator (CPO) certified in state of employment.
  • Great people skills and personality are required.
  • Must be a team player, have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed.
  • Must provide outstanding customer service to meet the needs of our client.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Certifications may be required.
