Responsibilities

Our well-established practice is seeking dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join our expanding team of neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners who work together collaboratively to provide exceptional care for neonates in the award-winning St. David's Healthcare System in Austin, Texas.

  • Level-II, Level-III and LIV NICUs
  • Flexible scheduling includes 24 and 12 hour shifts
  • Preference for experienced nurse practitioners applicants at this time

Coverage includes:

  • St. David's Medical Center, a 65-bed, Level-IV unit with neonatal surgical services and a newborn delivery service of approximately 4,300 per year
  • St. David's Women's Center of Texas, a 57-bed, Level-III unit, expanding to 80 beds, with a newborn delivery service of approximately 8,000 per year
  • St. David's North Austin Medical Center, a Level-III NICU with advance imaging procedures and pediatric medical sub-specialties
  • St. David's Round Rock Medical Center, a 12-bed, Level-II unit with in-house NNP coverage of NICU and normal newborn services
  • St. David's South Austin Medical Center, a 10-bed, Level-II NICU with in-house NNP coverage of NICU and normal newborn services
  • St. Davd'd Georgetown Hospital, a Level-I NICU
  • Medical services provided by our practice include HFOV, nitric oxide and total body cooling
  • A strong MFM program and pediatric sub-specialties support our NICUs
  • Clinical responsibilities include prenatal and newborn consultations, attendance of high-risk deliveries and comprehensive management of neonates in the NICUs and newborn nurseries throughout our multiple hospital units

Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master's degree
