Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable process and leading a team of professionals to ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding payments. Your role involves managing day-to-day operations, implementing best practices, and optimizing processes to maximize cash flow and minimize bad debt exposure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve customer inquiries, mitigate payment discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement in accounts receivable operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the accounts receivable team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure team effectiveness and productivity. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment conducive to professional growth and development.

  2. Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient accounts receivable processes, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and enhance productivity. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to optimize cash flow and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

  3. Collections Management: Oversee the collection efforts for outstanding accounts receivable balances, including monitoring aging reports, prioritizing collection activities, and negotiating payment arrangements with customers. Proactively address delinquent accounts to minimize bad debt exposure.

  4. Customer Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and payment disputes. Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies, address customer concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  5. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports to track performance metrics, monitor cash flow trends, and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates and insights to management on accounts receivable status, aging, and collection efforts.

  6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to accounts receivable processes. Implement controls to mitigate risk and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience (5years) in accounts receivable management, with a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, credit management, and collections.
  2. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) for accounts receivable management and reporting.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make data-driven decisions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
