Job Description

Overview: As a Payroll Specialist with at least 5 years of experience, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. Your expertise will be essential in managing payroll operations, resolving payroll-related issues, and ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance payroll efficiency, and provide exceptional service to employees.

Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, calculation of wages, deductions, and withholdings, and generation of payroll reports. Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, regulations, and tax laws.

  2. Timekeeping and Attendance: Coordinate timekeeping systems and procedures to accurately record employee work hours, leave balances, and attendance. Verify and reconcile timekeeping records to ensure accuracy of payroll calculations.

  3. Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions. Ensure accurate deduction and remittance of employee contributions and employer contributions to benefit providers.

  4. Compliance and Reporting: Stay informed about federal, state, and local payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements. Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including W-2s and 1099s, and ensure compliance with tax withholding and reporting obligations.

  5. Payroll Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders. Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries, troubleshoot payroll issues, and resolve discrepancies in a professional and confidential manner.

  6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors. Collaborate with HR, finance, and IT teams to implement system enhancements, automation, and best practices to optimize payroll operation
