Overview

As an IT Technician, you will be involved in managing and tracking employee hardware within the organization. You will handle and document the receipt, preparation, imaging, delivery, tracking assignments and disposal of equipment provided to employees and approved contractors.

YOUR IMPACT

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Manage the issuance and receipt of new and used computer equipment shipped to / from ePlus, including asset tagging and IMAC requests, as appropriate
  • Inventory user-based computer equipment, both deployed and available for deployment
  • Prepare equipment to be shipped (i.e. clean, image, laptop setup and peripherals)
  • Package and ship equipment following appropriate company policies and legal regulations
  • Conduct and report hardware asset reconciliation and support audit activities
  • Manage day-to-day requests from end-users to fulfill laptop and peripheral computing needs and IMAC's, as necessary
  • Replace/install RMA'd components provided by vendors, as needed
  • Provide timely status updates to stakeholders and maintain documentation, as needed
  • Will be required to work out of standard hours to support peak request volumes
  • Coordinate with managers to retrieve terminated employee equipment and close out corresponding tickets
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3+ years supporting operations and/or IT
  • Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Business training desired
  • Previous customer-centric experience
  • IAITAM and/or ITIL certification is a plus
  • Understand the procurement cycle
  • Familiar with warehouse, logistics and shipping environment
  • Experience with ticket tracking systems (i.e. Remedy, Service Now, Heat)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to self-prioritize and meet changing deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Adept in use of MS Office, e-mail, ticketing system and postal equipment
  • Adept at interacting professionally with both external suppliers and internal customer
POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $19.23 and $24.04 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
