Summary: Seeking Chemical Operator for daily oversight of the Emulsion production area with strong focus on safety, production and efficiency with key target of meeting internal and external customer needs.

Principal Accountabilities/ Activities:

  • Unload raw materials to storage locations
  • Run process control system to produce required finish products
  • Package finished product to containers
  • Load finished product to tanker trucks
  • Manage and report inventory of raw materials, finished product, parts and supplies
  • Perform bench top analysis to verify in process product quality
  • Record data carefully and completely in both written and electronic formats
  • Communicate accurate, precise, timely and completely
  • Maintain equipment through routine calibration and preventative maintenance activities to include area inspections, equipment inspections and entry of work orders as needed
  • Participate on plant or inter-plant teams as requested
  • Maintain safety and order of work area through daily housekeeping activities
  • Manage all chemicals and waste (hazardous and nonhazardous) in accordance to RCRA regulation and the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.

Rate: Technician A, hourly rate $32.94, eligible for overtime as needed

will start on a training rate of 95% of full hourly rate, after completing benchmarks will progress to full hourly rate listed above.

Work hours: 8 hr swing shift including nights and weekend, subject to change due to manufacturing needs

Work conditions: Chemical plant environment working indoors and outdoors. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; will climb stairs and ladders are part of normal duties. Will work outdoors in cold, heat or rainy condition as needed

Position Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Desired Experience: 2-3 years of chemical manufacturing preferred, mechanical troubleshooting helpful; ability to safely operate a powered industrial truck.

Personal Knowledge: Computer Skills (MS word, Excel, Lotus notes, SAP)

Personal Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, a sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize work, and a mind-set for safety and attention to detail. Good Teamwork skills.
