Responsibilities

MEDICAL COLLECTOR/PATIENT ACCOUNT REP

The Georgia Business Center is a centralized business office facility performing billing and collection services for multiple Universal Health Services (UHS) hospitals. Our offices, located in Dunwoody, are experiencing unprecedented growth and are adding two new hospital account this quarter. In preparation for the new facilities, we are searching for experienced Medical Collections Representatives/Patient Account Representatives to support our new facilities.

What Will You Get To Do?

Medical Collectors and Patient Account Reps are responsible for:

  • Contacting patients for uncollected accounts requesting payment and setting up payment plans.
  • Contacting insurance companies/payors for payment information and updates.
  • Ensuring the maximum number of contacts are made on a daily basis and documenting accounts appropriately.
  • Using a worklist report to determine a follow-up schedule for contacting patients and payors regarding outstanding accounts.
  • Writing clear and concise notes in the system to accurately depict the status of a claim and/or account.

Qualifications

What Does The Georgia Business Center Require for this Role?

  • At least one year of hospital patient account experience or medical collections experience.
  • High school diploma.
