Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company is an end-to-end provider of innovation, development, and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device industries. Our Little Rock, Arkansas location is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to support manufacturing of injection molded parts and assembly automation.

The leading task of quality control involves enforcing the use of specified processes and materials, ensuring the qualification of operators and equipment, and making a series of planned measurements to determine if quality standards are being met.

What You Will Do

  • Active team member in the internal or external design and fabrication of thermoplastic injection molding and secondary equipment, robotics, EOATs, automated work cells, and automated assembly equipment
  • Primary technical representative in the AQP process for equipment and tools utilized for thermoplastic injection molding, secondary processes, and automated assembly equipment
  • Continuously improve and update automated equipment to reduce labor, reduce cycle time, reduce waste, and increase efficiencies in equipment and process operations
  • Modify and/or update electrical circuits, electrical designs, program and monitor PLC's, motion controls, and other peripheral devices
  • Lead technical resource to integrate and/or program auxiliary equipment to automated assembly lines, molding work centers, and automated equipment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 2+ years of PLC programming experience
  • 2+ years of motion controls experience
  • 2+ years of troubleshooting and robotics experience
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology
  • Experience interfacing automation and robotics with various types of equipment
  • CAD software experience
  • Experience in plastic injection molding
