The primary objective for this position is to provide support to the field for a predominately hourly workforce by implementing established human resources programs and policies of Atlantic including staffing, compensation, and employee relations. The employee base is highly dispersed across the region and this position requires a high-touch and highly service-minded approach to supporting employees and managers from the centralized human resources team within the corporate office. Ensure compliance with EEO, ADA, OSHA and DOL guidelines. Respond to employee workplace complaints and facilitate appropriate investigation and documentation of concerns raised. Additionally, this position is responsible for accurate analysis and reporting of Human Resources data. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to developing, implementing, and coordinating activities related to employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, retention, and employee support. The responsibilities will be in support of a Region as well as coordination and leading efforts more broadly as assigned.

Responsibilities
General Duties
  • Representation of Atlantic Aviation in a professional and positive manner.
  • Compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service to the employees and managers of Atlantic.
  • Foster a work culture based on Atlantic's values.
  • Interaction with customers, vendors, and Atlantic Aviation employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication of work progress and significant issues with the Human Resources team and Director of DEI, Talent & Employee Relations.
Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Employee Relations:
  • Responsible for administration of employee relations and workplace investigations policies and practices as determined by the Director of DEI, Talent & Employee Relations.
  • Assists in the preparation of periodic reporting on employee relations analytics and reporting.
  • As needed, serves as lead investigator for workplace investigations across Company, as directed by CHRO or Director of DEI, Talent & Employee Relations.
  • Provides support and guidance to workplace investigations by serving as a supplemental investigator in open investigations, and provides insight into more complex issues encountered.
  • Serves as a back up to the HR Generalist team in the areas of workplace investigation and advice and counsel to the field on employee relations issues.

Field Support:
  • Works directly with Regional Managers/Directors, General Managers, and HR Onsite Coordinators to assist them in their responsibilities on human resources matters.
  • Assists managers and employees with interpreting and complying with policies and applicable employment law and government regulations.
  • Assists in implementation and enforcement of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for processing personnel actions in the HR information system.
  • Operate with a high level of independence in carrying out the scope of responsibilities.
  • Handles and responds to employee relations counseling and resolution in conjunction and with support and approval of the CHRO and/or Director of DEI, Talent & Employee Relations (i.e. employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints).
  • Investigates and documents employee workplace concerns and utilizes Company systems to maintain accurate records of investigations and outcomes.
  • Administers annual compensation program, monitors performance evaluation program.
  • Participates in Benefit Administration at annual open enrollment and throughout plan year.
  • Performs training to respective locations in the areas of employee engagement, respectful workplaces, sexual harassment, diversity awareness, HRIS training and any other human resources programs.

Company Programs:
  • Responsible for evaluation and collection of Human Resource data and prepares reports and distributes on regular intervals and ad hoc requests.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of region in relation to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Responds to Unemployment Claims.
  • Participates in and serves as the HR representative on the Company's DEI committee and Professional Development program.

Skills & Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or other related area preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of Human Resources experience.
  • General knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and principles of Human Resources and Benefits.
  • Experience in conducting employee workplace investigations, including interviewing witnesses and documenting findings.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff and employees.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and manage a heavy workload to see work quickly and accurately through to completion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Reliable and efficient.
  • Possess high level of maturity and treatment of confidential matters.
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HR database systems, and Payroll systems.
  • Must be open to overtime as needed or required.
  • Some travel is required, sometimes on short notice.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Minimum of 18 years old.
