Job Summary

The Benefits Client Specialist will have the opportunity to use excellent communication and analytical skills to help our client's participants through important life decisions. The Benefits Client Specialist will be responsible for owning the retirement process with employees as well as providing survivor support for families when employees or former employees pass away. The BCS will be expected to work with a global team on projects related to ongoing client delivery and complex support processes, while connecting directly with benefits participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Would work at the Ford Headquarters building, One American Road, Dearborn, MI
  • Handle scheduled benefits appointments, and interactions individuals going through the retirement process (pension, health, 401k)
  • Some of this would involve in-person consultations, and other portions by phone
  • Provide requested information, research complex questions, and document outcomes
  • Leverage acquired knowledge to deliver high quality customer experience
  • Learn about benefits administration through client interactions and requirements
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and work with team to implement
  • Participate in and execute varied work activities as needed to support client and team
  • Resolve complex issues within the retirement processes

Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiencies

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communicator that enjoys consulting through life's most important decisions
  • Proven analytical abilities including strong attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and escalate, as needed
  • Self-starter with a curious mindset that asks questions and strives to see bigger picture
  • Engaged to learn through formal and on the job training
  • Able to prioritize increasingly complex work to meet timeliness and quality standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change
  • Driven to make customers happy and successful
  • Ability to understand the customer and anticipate future needs
  • Desire to work with team to determine the best solution when issues arise
  • Comfortable operating with a global workforce

Work Experience

  • 2+ years of work experience in handling customer interactions
  • 2+ years of experience handling complex processes, problem solving and applying analytical skills
  • Experience with desktop technology and learning multiple applications
  • Experience working in a face paced environment

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

35,600 USD

Maximum :

56,600 USD
