Job Title: Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Center (JEWC) IT Support Work Location: Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, TX Clearance: Active TS+ Experience: 7+ years of experience in the field of personal computer equipment hardware and software Certification: Current IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift Travel: Occasional Salary: Commensurate with experience Job Listing Number: TX24002 LCAT: JEWC IT Support Overview: S4 Inc. employees selected for this position will provide a synchronized approach to information operations by properly planning, developing, and maintaining the National Security System IT infrastructure as required by the JEWC. Specific Duties: In this position you will be responsible for: Provide operation and maintenance services in support of software and IT infrastructure specific to National Security Systems located at the JEWC Assist Help Desk Manager by analyzing customer assistance requests. Provide appropriate technical assessment in support of the EW analysis IT systems. Coordinate operations support with Help Desk Manager utilizing existing organizational tracking systems Assist Help Desk Manager by collecting and analyzing data related to any widespread system or service outage. Document and disseminate system technical data ensuring regulatory compliance Plan, coordinate, execute, and analyze information network outage requests within 2 days of initial report. Use JEWC tracking systems to input data from the covered system's technical performance issues. Prepare draft and final evaluation reports that include an executive summary, an assessment of mission impact of noted problems, a listing of all documented problems, recommendations for system corrections and/or improvements Perform technical tasks to resolve Help Desk tickets as required by the Government including tasks related to all National Security Systems (software and hardware) located at the JEWC Improve the effectiveness of JEWC conferences and training by providing engineering or technical support, assistance, or training for the efficient and effective management and operation of organization's VTC systems Assist the JEWC Information System Security Officer (ISSO) as required including assisting the ISSO with network security incident response and management. A network security incident is a violation or imminent threat of violation of computer/network security policies, acceptable use policies, or standard security practices. The goal of the response team is to quickly discover a violation and then effectively contain the damage, eradicate the violations presence, and restore the integrity of the network and systems Assist the JEWC ISSO with creating and establishing local policies and procedures for cross-domain data transfer based upon DOD, USSTRATCOM, Air Force, and Intel Community policies, procedures, and processes Assist users in data transfers in accordance with established JEWC policies and procedures and Technical Data Management of existing organizational problems and development of plans for improvement Develop and provide training to data owners, data custodians, network and system administrators, users, and delegated data transfer operators in accordance with JEWC policy and procedures Skills: Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with clients and vendors, demonstrated technical leadership skills, good verbal, and written communication skills. Have a solid understanding of the design of complex databases (e.g., schema and subschema details) so limitations/deficiencies can be identified. Qualifications: Active current Top Secret+ security clearance 7+ years of experience in the field of personal computer equipment (e.g., desktops, laptops, tablets) hardware (e.g., printers and scanners) and software (e.g., VTC suites) Current IAT Level II certification (Security +, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) An understanding of the roles and relationships of combatant commands, USSTRATCOM, Combat Support Agencies, and other USG and DoD organizations The ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience The ability to ensure information is technically correct and complete and to prepare and present briefings and reports to appropriate personnel Knowledge of, or experience with, installation of fiber optic modems, multiplexers, patch panels, distribution frames, cabinets, cable ladders, rack systems, and equipment components Proficiency in the operation of Digital Multi-Meters, network cable testers, loop-back adaptors, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and software diagnostic tools To apply to this position please go to www.s4inc.com and click on Careers to complete and an employment application and to upload your resume.
