Summary:

As a State Account Director, you are responsible for directing all retention activities associated with a national strategic behavioral health partner/reseller. You will serve as the main contact for the partner account to ensure the overall success of Bamboo Health's relationship through strategic and tactical account leadership and oversight of all account activity.

The primary focus of the role is to develop relationships with key stakeholders including Executive Management, Account Management, Sales, Solutions Consultants, and other stakeholders within the partner's organization to ensure full alignment. The State Account Director will be expected to represent Bamboo Health as the subject matter expert on our solutions and service offerings within the behavioral health market.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the partner and demonstrate accountability that all contractual commitments are met.
  • Ensure timely communication with partner to address high priority needs.
  • Identify opportunities to interface with partner's clients to ensure Bamboo Health visibility as a thought leader in the market.
  • Work with the partner to understand the partner's commitment, capability, and capacity to meet agreed metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Anticipate needs of partner and generate upsell opportunities by offering software solutions (in concert with Bamboo Product Development team) to fill service gaps and improve partner performance.
  • Act as a point of escalation for internal teams to support on-time delivery of project commitments.
  • Act as a liaison between partner and Bamboo Health stakeholders to ensure support, product and delivery teams are aligned to mutual business goals.
  • Deliver strategic account reviews and track annual performance management based on predefined business goals.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of the market and the client environment, including open opportunities, strategic priorities, and issues that may impact our business.
  • Work with client support, product management, marketing, operations, and engineering to deliver scopes of work, change orders, and software enhancement request documentation in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Accountable for managing contract renewals/extensions of current business, application/project additions and other required contract related modifications.

What Success Looks Like...

In 3 months...

  • Learning Bamboo Health products, customer segments, industry trends and getting to know critical stakeholders.
  • Becoming independent, prioritizing stability for the client and internal teams an understanding the priorities of our organization and your client.

In 6 months...

  • Understanding the measures of success for your role and have clear expectations for the remainder of your performance for the year.
  • Successfully owning the account and have an established understanding of the strategic initiatives within the account through relationships with key stakeholders.

In 12 months...

  • Developing strategic account plans with a focus on reducing areas of risk, improving the client experience, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Meeting quarterly and annual retention goals and KPIs.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in client relationship management, business development, or partner management in the SaaS (Software as a Service) industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully retaining clients and increasing revenue through strategic planning and exceptional communication skills.
  • Adept at building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and partners, identifying new business opportunities, and managing complex projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of state government behavioral health solutions and experience in the behavioral health space, including state 988 crisis solutions or similar initiatives, is preferred.
  • A high level of judgment, analytical ability, and creativity in investigating problems that require original and innovative solutions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • A work environment that is conducive to high quality virtual interactions. This includes but is not limited to being able to work from a quiet space with minimal interruptions or distractions, and a strong internet connection.
  • The ability to travel periodically for work.
