JOB SUMMARY

Assist in the administration and coordination of project documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of administrative support or construction project experience is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in the construction industry in project administration is highly preferred.
* Strong Excel experience is preferred.
* Knowledge of Dexter & Chaney's Spectrum software is preferred.
* Knowledge of Procore construction management software is preferred.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    * Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
    * Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, excel, and Outlook.
    * Knowledge and understanding of general office procedures.
    * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
    * Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    * Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
    * Must be able to work well with others and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      * Assist Project Managers with project documentation, including filing and maintaining drawing, RFI, submittal, and other project-based logging systems.
      * Update the Project Progress Tracking database regularly.
      * Create, maintain, and/or control all project documentation.
      * Coordinate the distribution of job documents to both internal and external parties, as necessary or as appropriate per company procedures.
      * Interface with both internal and external individuals involved in the projects, such as project team members, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
      * Maintain ongoing communication related to projects, respond to inquiries, seek information, and provide information as necessary to ensure the smooth administration of each job.
      * Utilize company accounting system to enter or update project data and other pertinent information.
      * Issue Purchase Orders for projects, for all material and equipment orders.

      Please note: this position is currently at a job site in Smithville, MO. After this project is over, the location is TBD or in our Kansas City, KS office.

      Qualifications

      2 years: Construction project administration experience. (preferred)
