POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Machinist III first shift (6AM - 2:30PM) based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist III is responsible for setting up and operating the most technically advanced machines and making manufacturing decisions concerning the machining processes.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $28/hr - $34/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Follow operation instructions and operate machine according to standard operating instructions.
  • Operate machines safely and communicate to the supervisor/lead any problems that.
  • Monitor, maintain, weigh, and safely add chemicals as required

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • .
  • Ability to program and interpret CNC/Robotics languages and codes as needed.
  • Ability to perform advanced quality inspections.
  • Understand work orders, routings,
  • Performs duties and responsibilities as described in the quality system.

WHAT WE PREFER

  • SAP or MRP system knowledge
  • Documented manufacturing education/training
  • An understanding of the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and similar quality control concepts
  • Lean skills & ability to identify process improvements
  • Computer proficiency
  • Gemetric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) experience
