Job Description
Main tasks
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to all customer inquiries coming into the Customer Support Center. Forward technical requests to the Technical Service Specialists for handling, forward Scheduling issues to the Regional Scheduling Teams, and present any significant customer issues to the Technical Support Manager.
  • Enhance the customer service process through efficient and accurate order entry, while providing excellent customer service and effective communication with internal and external staff and customers.
  • Process customer quotes and purchase orders for parts and services. Provide information to customers, sales personnel, and distributors regarding pricing, shipments, back orders, stock status, or other general inquiries.
  • Answer calls and emails off the Hotline to support our Live Response goals and provide customers with quick and efficient response times.
  • Resolve routine customer and distributor billing and shipping questions, and present any significant customer issues to the department supervisor and/or manager.
  • Accurately maintain customer files with current and pertinent information.
  • Work with those needed to expedite parts delivery in emergencies.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associates Degrees and two to four years manufacturing/distribution customer service experience and/or call center customer service experience. Or combination of education and experience accepted. Experience with handling sensitive and confidential documents is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Great Plains or similar software program helpful.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence Effectively communicate ideas, both written and verbally to customers, management or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger and handle; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
