Our Clarke Powered Solutions Team is looking for a Technical Service Engineer with a strong mechanical background in diesel engines to assist in the Application and Installation Process of custom Perkins engine build packages. Collaborate with Engine sales teams, Equipment manufacturers, and design teams on engine selection and fitment. Perform installation appraisals and audits to meet manufacturer guidelines. • Perform audits and provide status updates throughout the design audit process for custom Perkins Engine packages
• Review engine selection process and specification creation, assist customer in selection
• Assist engineering with upfits of parts for custom engine builds
• Assist dealer technicians with technical support
• Maintain information throughout audit process and ensure data collection is maintaining momentum
• Address audit problems as they arise with expert/manager as needed
• Address special service related issues as they arise with possible travel to customer locations
• Over 50% Travel for technical visits and trouble shooting
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Ability to become certified in manufacturer's advanced technical training
• Read and understand technical documents and schematics
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines
• Superior ability to accurately troubleshoot problems
• Ability to communicate methods of performing maintenance and repair procedures on engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Strong leadership skills

• Self- starter who works well independently as well as with others in a team atmosphere

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Associate's degree desirable with a minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong practical experience on training and instruction
• 1-2 years' experience working with data acquisition software (DEX2) - (records, temperature, pressures, etc.)
• Knowledge of Perkins software SPI2, EIP, and EST
