As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Baker Hughes, you will will be responsible for testing a feature and/or a small feature set using a variety of testing methodologies such as manual and automated: functional, performance, reliability, and user scenarios. Contributes to the team and works with direction from senior team members or management.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining robust test automation systems integrating hardware, firmware and software.
  • Developing and running automated as well as manual testing processes and procedures.
  • Working with and coordinate validation testing procedures with remote engineering teams.
  • Reducing risk and promote sustainability by utilizing and driving standardization.
  • Understanding products from customer's perspective and test accordingly.
  • Driving quality into the development process, through analysis and feedback of testing results, working directly with the design teams.
  • Identifying and logging detailed bugs in the bug tracking system.
  • Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI/CD, Software and Product Security, Scalability and Reliability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring and Testing Techniques.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience in test automation and test plan management
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuit components and operation.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development concepts.
