Covia is looking for a dynamic Heavy Equipment Operator who will have a positive impact on the Operational team at its Kermit, TX location. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will primarily provide a continuous feed to the plant's dryers or wet process via a Front-End Loader and perform additional duties that require heavy equipment to perform. This position is on a 1 week on/1 week off rotation.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:

• Load and feed sand to the wash plant or the dryer
• Moves excess material throughout the plant site
• Load and carry sand to grizzly or haul truck
• Maintains haul roads
• Maintains slurry pumps
• Performs basic daily checks of mobile equipment
• Performs daily area checks
• Operates the following mobile equipment (Front End Loaders, Haul trucks, Skid Steer, Water Truck, Sweeper)
• Perform all other duties as needed or assigned

The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

• Good English communication skills - written and verbal
• High School diploma or GED

• Heavy Machinery Operator experience preferred
• Prefer previous work experience in mining operations
• Demonstrated commitment to safety with previous experience in identifying and managing risks
• Computer working experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts
