Job Objective:

Safely remove woven material from the Weave Room and assist in loading yarn packages on the looms and re-block small pancakes into large pancakes following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.

3rd Shift: 11pm-7am

Essential Job Functions:

  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Fill Dye lanes with proper material to fill open travelers
  • Enter production data into the Oracle system.
  • Move pancakes to proper location after doffing them off the loom.
  • Use Oracle system to accurately data enter production information into the database.
  • Fill shipping orders for Manchester.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial trucks as listed below.
  • Excellent attendance is required
  • Ability to work overtime as required or requested, including extended shifts and weekends.
  • Full-time presence required
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Hazardous Communications, lockout / tagout and forklift Certification (or certification within 30 days).
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions, to accurately complete basic paperwork and data entry. Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions to an acceptable standard with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to maintain or exceed work standards, which will be reviewed at regular intervals.
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to learn independently including book, web-based and classroom participation.
  • Previous textile experience, or experience in handling yarn is a plus.
