Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Cost Accountant, based in Reamstown, PA. This role will report directly to the Plant Controller and work closely with the Reamstown Operations/Plant team and greater Finance team. The Cost Accountant is responsible for providing performance insight, ongoing analyst of product cost, development of new product cost, inventory control and margin analysis.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $70,000 - $85,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide detailed recurring analysis of Cost of Goods Sold, inventory and gross margin and meaningful variance explanations
  • Establish standardized reporting for Cost of Goods Sold and Plant Performance Measurements
  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the cost accounting and inventory function for the organization and interact directly with operations and procurement team
  • Manage head count and associated costs for the operations unit and confirm that changes add to performance goals
  • Contribute to annual budget and planning processes and ensure integrity of the budgeting and forecasting of Cost of Goods Sold
  • Partner with operations team to develop realistic financial plans aligned to operational goals
  • Provide financial support for new initiatives, productivity ideas, feasibility studies, restructuring projects (plant context) and ad hoc data requests
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing, internal financial reporting and financial analysis

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, or similar analytical discipline
  • 3+ years of cost accounting, cost analyst work experience in a standard cost manufacturing environment
  • Business proficiency in English
